I’m planning to get back on track and stack up on drawing tools once again. I have 7 unfinished drawings inside my sketch book and they’re all about 70% finished. How ironic how I always say to myself to finish everything I started. It’s just that there are a lot of ways right now for me to kill time!

Here’s a quick transition photos of the pencil portrait of James Dean I did a month ago for my girlfriend’s birthday. I just hope she didn’t suffer from James Dean overload that day lol

I don’t really understand. Vacation just started and now life’s telling me that it’s time to go back to school? PHFBBTT!!

I miss the days when summer vacation means 2 months of freedom from school work. When out of town trips are a guarantee. When impromptu trips to the bowling alley and somewhere where we can stuff our tummies with fattening food is somehow expected. I miss those days!

But even how short my summer vacation may seem, it was a blast nonetheless! I won’t take anything away from all the trips and experiences I had. It just sucks kasi mejo bitin :(

What I learned is that summer is kind of like the ultimate one-night stand: hot as hell, totally thrilling, and gone before you know it. lol

Let’s face it, who doesn’t love Iron Man? Well.. I actually do know one, but that’s not the point. Since 2008, I just love how Tony Stark make use of his money. Trust me, if I were given that amount of scratch, I’d come up with something similar or maybe an eye camera that takes photos when you blink. Nothing’s impossible!!

As the number of my vacation days are now down to three and summer is slowly retiring, I can gladly say that this summer was a blast!! Now I just have to wrap my mind around the fact that I’ll be going back to school this coming Monday.

Most of the time, it’s too hot to put on any sort of cover up. You want to feel stylish but your idea involves a second piece on your top. Chances are you’ll ruin your look by looking haggard after an hour.

Whenever this dilemma consumes me, I always have my polo shirts to save the day. They’re literally heaven sent! Unless tank tops and boxers are appropriate outfit for an event, then let’s cancel polo shirts out of this topic.

I managed to drop by with my sister at the Tumblr Fair last Saturday at BF Parañaque. Was able to mingle with my fellow bloggers and some familiar faces. Then relaxed at my cousin’s house at Alabang. Here’s what I wore that day

Here’s another heaven sent! I was definitely aiming for comfort this day without sacrificing style and without any second thought, Crocs’ boat shoe line was the perfect shoes to wear. It has the look of a classic boat shoes but upgrade the comfort attribute of it by 10! Not only does it look fresh on the outside but your feet feels fresh inside, too. I wouldn’t mind wearing this around the house. Lol

Beyond The Sea

Besides the unending splash of colors this summer, another thing going on is the need for a dip in the water. I don’t think one can call their summer complete without taking a swim in a pool or in the beach. With the intense heat of our weather, it’s just right to keep ourselves hydrated as much as possible. More water intake also increases our good vibes! (and more trips to the comfort room)

There’s just something about the water that I love. Dipping a limb beneath its surface is just a relaxing sensation, don’t you think? If I’m Percy Jackson, I’ll take advantage of my ability to breathe underwater and stay there for a couple of hours, bring some fried chicken maybe so I won’t get hungry. Mmm. That’ll be awesome..

Went to Laguna with my best buddies last week for some chill activities. It’s funny how there was a swimming pool outside our room just waiting for us to hop in but we decided to spend the majority of the day staying inside and watch ‘Awkward’ haha!

Also made sure we get to take advantage of the great scenery we have that day that we can’t possibly see in the city.

This is yet another cap + glasses combo which I love doing right now. Well, at least when I still haven’t had my haircut. Finally decided to step out of my lazy zone and get a haircut. I guess I won’t be needing my head band for a little while. Lol

Good Blue

For me, people who wears sky blue are nice.

Unlike on this post, I woke up this day feeling enchanted! I was up right after I opened my eyes, greeted everybody in the house a warm good morning, and actually went outside to smell the breeze of fresh air. I was constantly trying to figure out what’s fueling my good vibes fire that morning until I came up with the conclusion that it’s just one of those days! So I took advantage of it.

Wore this cool blue outfit to an event I attended a couple of weeks ago to match my enthusiastic mood. It actually contributes to the overall productiveness of your day when you go and satisfy your mood with a matching outfit. That’s why the most cliché answer in the world to the question “What is fashion for you?” is always “A way to express myself.” People who try to elaborate their answer more are just sick and tired of that answer, probably. Haha

A sunny day is one cruel weather. As I said on one of my latest post, I’m very much into wearing caps nowadays. I really hate fixing my hair when it’s already on it’s awkward stage. I know I should stop complaining, get a haircut and get things over with, but my bed and computer seat are holding me back. Help!!!

Wore a laid back outfit on this very bright day. A plain white shirt can also be as good as any shirt if styled properly. I incorporated colorful items so it won’t look boring as a glass of water. I don’t go out wearing a plain white shirt and a black pants because I associate that look to a security guard. Lol

Zambales (Part 2)

Here’s part 2 of my Zambales trip with Angel, David and Miko a month ago. If you haven’t seen part 1, make sure you do so by clicking here! :)

All the memorable things that went down on this trip were basically squeezed on the first day. But hey, even though day 2 was just a quick one, we were all able to do most of the fun part.

Woke up early the next day to prepare for the trip on the next island. A group photo first before leaving this wonderful island we slept in.

Next stop: Capones Island!

One of the most exciting part of this trip was supposed to be the one where we will be visiting this lighthouse on top of the mountain of Capones Island. Unfortunately, the waves were too strong, our boat couldn’t stabilize it’s position, we have to skip it…

We were saddened to hear that, but not as much as Angel. She had “Visit a lighthouse” on her checklist.

After seeing what the island can offer, we took advantage of the hand we’ve been dealt with.

Everything was so amazing! The clear water and the strong waves that washes us ashore, it was great!

When we were about to leave, we can’t possibly miss out this wonderful opportunity to take obligatory photos!

Me and Angel went first because Miko and David were busy shooting something.

When we travel, it’s always a must that we have our group photo taken. I’ll make sure to post our group photos when we reach a milestone number, like 10 different places, here on my blog!

And of course, the last group photo of the entire group we’ve been with for two days. It was a blast being with them!

Went back to San Antonio to take a bath, prepare and wrap things up before we all board our bus back to Manila.

There was this cute little puppy tied into a tree that sounded like a zombie from The Walking Dead. I’m serious! Still cute nonetheless.

Grabbed some stuff and a bar of Magnum to freshen us up on our way back.

And this is them bullying me and not cooperating when I’m the one taking photos for my Instagram. This is, again, very normal. Hahaha!

And that’s a wrap!

It was such an amazing experience for all of us!! Can’t wait for our next big getaway! Doesn’t really matter where as long as I’m with these people. Wooo!

One thing I learned is that Byaheng Victory sure knows how to set up and organize their itineraries and maximize everyone’s stay.

First of all, I would like to apologize about the sweat seeping out of my shirt. It was unbelievably hot that day! Was supposed to wear something inside but I was in a bit of a rush, I didn’t bother to look for my missing sando. Eewww!

Anyway, this is what I wore last Tuesday on the opening night of MYOH2013.

Summer for me is all about prints and colors. This shirt is one of my favorite piece in my closet because it brings the best of both worlds. Hey, If I would be given a chance to shop for free, my shopping cart would look like M&Ms fashion edition. For summer, at least.

Another thing going on for me right now, if you’ve noticed, is my love for hats. It’s always hard for me to find the proper time to have a haircut. My hair isn’t really the type that when it grows, it looks better. Nah. It becomes unbelievably unruly and fluffy! Haha. And that is why I always wear a hat nowadays. I don’t like exceeding 3 minutes fixing my hair, you know? Lol

My Havaianas' MYOH2013 Experience

Last Tuesday was awesome! I got to experience my first ever MYOH and…my first ever pair of Havaianas. Spell loser.

For the past years, I only get to see photos of this event on FB and other sites. I wondered how fun it is to have the total freedom to design your own flip flops that’s why when I got the invitation for MYOH2013, I spazzed out!!!

A short summary of the event through photos are below

This hot air balloon made out of thousands of flip flops never fail to amuse me. Up to this day, nobody has ever guessed the exact number of flip flops right there just yet.

Can you guess how many? Just a give or take!

The exciting part comes!

I’m not in the habit of wearing colorful flip flops so I made sure I keep mine simple. Went for a marine blue soles, greyish blue strap and a sun for the pin.

It was a very amazing night for me! The night was filled with friends, familiar faces, lots of celebrities, great mix by DJ Callum David, and delicious food!!

Zambales Trip (Part 1)

This is probably a bit too late and long overdue, but hey! Better late than never!

Last April 6, we booked for an adventurous trip to Zambales, by Byaheng Victory, for an overnight camping under the stars. It was probably the best camping experience ever for me! Well.. it was my first time camping out so it was the worst and best by default.

This was a birthday weekend getaway for Angel and there’s nothing better than to spend it with The Mercato Crew!

We plan to travel the entire Philippines, then the world. lol

Me and Angel, all the way to the south and sleepless (just watched “Suits” until it was time to go), arrived at Victory Liner, Caloocan a couple of minutes before 4AM because we’re that responsible. David and Miko, on the other hand, got there 5 minutes before the bus left given they both live in the north and relatively near the terminal.

I find that pretty normal. Hahaha

Touchdown Zambales!

It was a 4 hour trip but I never really felt that because of the free Wi-Fi they had inside the bus. lol kidding. I was dead asleep, of course.

At noon, we all boarded to a boat that will take us to the island where we will be spending our night.

Riding a boat to an island is always an exciting part of a trip. You get to see the open water along with the wonderful scenery of the mountains and rock formations. It’s hard not to take photos of it!

Took us an hour to get to Nagsasa island. Had to endure the vibration of the engine for that long. Made my butt numb, really. Haha!

Finally, we set foot on (boiling hot sand) Nagsasa island!

When I first saw the place, it was freakishly familiar. Just after I got home from this trip that realized that I already spent a day here with my clan a few years back. Unfortunately, my wrist was literally broken a couple of days before that day, so I had a cast on my arm and wasn’t able to enjoy a dip in the water.

When I first got here with my family, there was absolutely nothing. When we got here on this day, people and tents were everywhere! Really is the perfect spot for this kind of adventure.

Tiny accomplishments like setting up a tent successfully is such a wonderful feeling for us hahaha it requires strict teamwork!

We were all supposed to explore the island first before we lose the light but Angel unfortunately was “smited with bloody hell that weekend” and was in intense pain.

Aside from that, the sand was really unbearable so we just decided to chill (illegally) under a shade with a hammock until an authorized person pointed out that it isn’t free.

Decided to make a quick dip and re-enacted a scene from Life of Pi. The resemblance is scary hahaha!!

Angel eventually woke up (didn’t even know it has a drowsy effect) from the pain killers I gave her and got the chance to enjoy the water, too.

There was no technology. No lights, no signal… no WiFi. It contributed to the fun experience we had.

The sun was going out fast and excitement was building inside of me!

Set up a bonfire near the water and this is when the highlight of the trip, for me at least, took place.

Everyone in the group was present! We played a couple of drinking games and there we got to know each other a little deeper.

I got a little drunk ‘coz I keep losing a particular game.. kainis. Apparently, it made me snore all throughout the night. I’m really sorry for being a loser in the game.All part of the fun! haha

Another highlight of day 1 was the sky that night.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE STARS THAT CLEARLY.

It was like staring at a computer wallpaper downloaded from Google images, but in real life! IT. WAS. AMAZING. I could actually stare at it until the sun comes up because I knew that that would be the last time for a very long time I will be seeing it again. This is impossible in the city.

Day 1 will definitely be stuck in my memory for a long, long time. If time travel is possible, I don’t mind going back and relive this entire day again!

Day 2 was quite amazing, as well, of course. Stay tuned for it! It will be up pretty soon.

Have you ever experienced waking up in the morning and you just feel grumpy and frustrated for no apparent reason? Last Wednesday was one of those days. I guess it has something to do with the ray of the sun constantly kissing my eyes while I’m trying to sleep and my lips were experiencing some terrible lip burn. GAHH! Bothered me the entire day, until this very moment!

But as soon as I went out and started my day, I knew anyway that it will be an awesome one and immediately wore a smile on my face. Try it!

I’m trying not to waste a single day of this very short summer vacation I have. Attending events, visiting places I’ve never been before, working out and all, it’s proper time to make ourselves better rather than just bumming around inside your air conditioned room. Though I must admit that sometimes, I’d rather stay at home, lock myself in my room and watch my favorite TV shows. I haven’t heard anybody say “Hey, it’s 43° outside! Let’s play ball!!!”.

Screw that!

The saying goes: Better to be busy than bored.

Me? I never liked the thought of being busy on something I don’t enjoy doing. If I need to come up with 10 pencil portraits, 10 digital artworks, etc., I’d be dead busy, but I will find myself having fun doing those things. In fact, I’d be dancing PSY’s Gentleman in between! lol. Doing a business plan, papers about the upcoming election and all on the other hand, well, let’s just say I’d rather watch The Walking Dead instead (and that’s what I did) haha. Don’t get me wrong, I still did what I had to do.

Had a chill day at The Fort to help out Angel with her errands the other day. Spent a couple of hours there just doing weird stuff like it’s mandatory. I had to come up with a comfortable yet stylish outfit that day coz hey, I like dressing up when I go to The Fort!

I miss blogging! I really do. I’ve been drowning in school work this past couple of weeks and I’m pretty sure that I’m currently in the deepest state of it. One more week and I’m free like a flushed fish in the sewer!! Can’t seem to find the time to post something new but I certainly did find the time to take outfit shots. Makes no sense. Weird lol

Went on a much needed getaway and spent the entire day with Angel last Wednesday. Just the presence of her makes me feel at ease and that’s probably an understatement. Better than taking Stresstabs at night! haha

Up Next: Zambales!

Before anything else, today’s the birthday of a very special person in my life, please do greet Angel a happy birthday if you have time!

Me and the gang are up for yet another awesome trip!

One would ask: how did you find the time to go out with all the school work piling up? Well, I didn’t. It just happened haha! Angel, David, Miko and me have been planning this trip since January and it’s safe to say we’re all set!

Our last “big” trip was in Bicol way back in January.

We did go to a very spontaneous trip to Batangas a few weeks back for an awesome beach trip which I will be blogging very soon!

You see, we like to travel, and thanks to Byaheng Victory, a partnership between Travel Factor and Victory Liner, we got this sponsored trip to camp out at Zambales tomorrow!!

Of course, I would be bringing my camera coz I’m the official photographer in our group. I just can’t wait to share with you guys our would be crazy experience from this trip!

A great birthday present it is!

There’s no arguing anymore that summer is already upon us. That means more aircon, more tank tops, more iced drinks and definitely more ice cream! This is what I wore during the Swensen’s food tasting a few weeks back.

I knew right from the start that wearing anything more than a simple shirt will do no good for me. I don’t like the feeling of sweat dripping all over my face and sipping out of my shirt when I’m trying to look neat at school. I grabbed the nicest polo shirt I got from the crazy sale at SM Southmall, a pair of boat shoes, my favorite pair of sunglasses, and I was good to go!

I don’t know what happened to me, maybe Angel has something to do with this, but my style is gradually evolving from grunge to a “good boy” look haha! We’ll see..

Swensen’s Philippines hosted yet again another exciting food-tasting event for food bloggers and the media last March 5.

This time, the international ice cream sundae shop introduces “Strawberry In Love”, with two new delightful products sure to make your heart melt!

The latest incredibly delectable sundaes on Swensen’s menu focused on bringing together two killer combos— strawberries and chocolate, both in yummy plates and both one of my favorite flavors that is sure to leave you craving for more.

First of the two is the Strawberry Chocolate Lava — made with scrumptious chocolate lava cake, topped with cold fudge, strawberry syrup, and fresh strawberry fruits. This is finished off with a scoop of strawberry ice cream, some whipped cream, and almond slices.

The second is the Strawberry Crepe — a mouth-watering combination of crepe with cold fudge, scoops of whipped cream, blended strawberry toppings, and topped off with almond slices, fresh strawberry slices, and icing sugar.

Unlike the others, what you see in the pictures is what you actually get in person! The presentation is well done! Look at it!! It will definitely get you a lot of likes on Instagram hahaha

Me and Angel, the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met, (the sweetness got into me!) got to try it both and I really loved the Strawberry Chocolate Lava! I suggest you don’t underestimate the serving because it’s really huge, I tell you lol
